Artventure:
I saw the coloured photo version of this view on my laptop's background. At the time, I was deep into exploring the black to white colour spectrum and thought that this would look spectacular in gray scale.
As I painted, I got transported to the great Canadian outdoors where the pine forest and vast lakes exist in all their grandeur, reminding me of how small I was in comparison. Sometimes we need a slice of humble pie - perspective helps provide that. With all our magnificence, there is always someone or something that is greater than us.
